Our desire at Taylor Creek Church is for young people to become committed followers of Jesus Christ by leading them to a saving knowledge of Him, helping them grow in their relationship with Him, and finding the place He has for them to serve.

Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

We are reaching back into church history to learn what it means to live a holy life for Christ in a hostile world. During the reformation, men and women of the faith were willing to pay the highest price to proclaim and live out the truth of the Gospel. Our summer camp "Sola" will be looking at the main tenets of the Protestant Reformation and how our young people today need to apply these truths as the interact with the culture around them: Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone), Sola Christus (Christ Alone), Sola Fide (Faith Alone), Sola Gratia (Grace Alone) and Soli Deo Gloria (For the Glory of God Alone).

Our first two days of camp will be on the grounds of Taylor Creek Church, but we will not be staying overnight. Friday morning we will be travelling to Black Lake Bible camp in Olympia for the remainder of our time and will be back Sunday afternoon.

Junior High and High School meet at 9 am to study God’s word. Come join us as we learn the incredible depths of Scripture, and how we should respond in living out our faith. Our current series is a study of the different conversations that Christ had with people throughout the four Gospel accounts. We will learn more about His character and attributes as we make our way through these passages of Scripture. Our goal is to take what we learn from His teachings and be faithful doers of His word (James 1:22).

Junior High and High School meet together from 6 pm to 8 pm for a time of fellowship, games/activities and the study of God’s Word. Our approach to this survey will be centered on the person of Christ. Looking beyond just the structure of these 27 books, we will seek to understand how each one uniquely highlights an aspect of His glory and purpose for the church. There will also be an emphasis on learning how to apply His words to our day to day walk.
