Awana

Awana is a group of clubs, based on age, that teach children about God's word through fun, games and age appropriate Bible lessons.  Children participate in games, story time, crafts and handbook time.  Clubs meet Thursday nights from 6:15-8:00pm beginning each year in September and running through May.  New Clubbers are welcome all year, simply register your child any Thursday evening. Download the registration form by clicking here and bring it with you to club. For additional information, please contact Taylor Creek Church at (425) 432-0634 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Children's Ministry

We believe that children are a gift of the Lord (Ps 127:3), and because of this we are to be good stewards of our responsibility to "train up a child in the way he should go" (Prov 22:6). While the duty of spiritual training primarily lies with the parents (Eph 6:1, 4), we rejoice in the opportunities to come alongside the family and minister to the children of our congregation and their friends.  There are several avenues in which to have your child sit under biblical instruction, and some of these are detailed below:

Men's Ministry

The Men’s ministry at Taylor Creek exists for the purpose of reaching men and drawing them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, encouraging them in their walk, worship, work and family in order that they can be all that God has called them to be, in their home, church and the world.

On the third Saturday of every month at 8:00am, we hold a Men's Breakfast in the Main Sanctuary for a time of teaching, prayer and fellowship.

We are currently going through "knowing God" by J.I. Packer.  Books and study guides are available in the church foyer for a suggested donation of $20.

Come and join us, or contact us if you would like more information.

Missions Ministry

2010 Missions Conference Schedule

  Missions_side_2_2010

Part of our Purpose and Mission is to "Make Christ's  love known to our neighbors and all nations". To help us fulfill this Great Commission (Matt 28:18-20), our Missions Committee oversees the following:

Missions participation -  A partnership in evangelism; Our goal is that this becomes the attitude of the whole church as we work with the missionaries we support that are already in the field or hoping to go to the field soon.  We hope to support their needs, write to them regularly and keep the church body up to date on their activities.  It is our hope that each family in the church will individually adopt a missionary family to support.

Missions visibility — Understand the burden we all have collectively to reach the lost of this world; To spread God's word as a church and as individuals.  To remind the body of the work missionaries are doing in the field day to day.

Promote Missions locally -  Do our part to spread God's word locally.

Nursery

The Nursery is operated by a team of volunteers. Our goal is to keep a ratio of one adult (18 years or older) to every four children, with a minimum of two at all times. Girls 14 to 18 years old, who have completed our screening process, may also assist. All teen sitters will be assigned to serve with two adults, and only one teen sitter usually assists during any given session. Girls as young as 12 may also work on approval and with their mothers. The staff provides consistent, loving care for babies and toddlers during all our regular services.

Titus 2 Thursdays

Titus 2 Thursdays are offered Fall through Spring for adult women to worship, study the Word, and pray together. The concept of Titus 2 Thursdays is developed from Titus 2:3-5, which states older women are to encourage younger women.

We invite you to join us Thursday mornings from 9:20 am to 11:45 at the church as we study God's Word together in Bible Study and develop personal growth through the application of God's Word in small sharing groups.  Workshops are offered to help equip and encourage us as women to better serve our Lord in our God-given roles with our individual gifts and abilities.

The Children's Program for Titus will include the following ages:
Nursery:  Ages Birth through 2 Years
Preschool:  Ages 2 through Kindergarten
Home School:  Kindergarten - 4th Grades

Our home school students will need to bring 1 hour worth of school work with them each week.  They will also be doing some group reading, and participating in group study activities such as art, history, science and cooking.  Please see Jessica Katen for additional information.

Session One: The Book of Proverbs:  Timeless Wisdom for Your Words, Work, Wealth, and Relationships

The Book of Proverbs offers infallivle wisdom that teaches us how to live in light of what is really true about ourselves, one another, and the world in which we live.  The goal of this study is to encourage you to grow ever closer to the God who is Wisdom.

Workshops:  Spiritual Mothering:  The Titus 2 Model for Women Mentoring Women

This workshop will enable you to better understand the "mothering mandate" of Titus 2, which encourages women to open their hearts and arms to other women.  Come and learn the importance of helping other women, how it enables us all to better proclaim the "...praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, His power, and the wonders he has done..." from generation to generation.

Titus 2 Thursdays Schedule
        9:20 Welcome and Announcements
        9:25 Worship
        9:40 Bible Study

Read Through The Bible

In this online version of the popular tract, each day includes a reading from the Old Testament and New Testament. Starting in Genesis and Matthew, the readings continue sequentially, and over the course of a year, you will never read the same passage twice.
